Physiotherapy & Sensory Park

We have a workshop with all the required equipment and 2 to 3 sessions are conducted a week. We have a state of the art Physiotherapy unit where we take an initial evaluation and develops a plan of treatment, educates and involves parents in the plan.

Bannu Parents Association

Bannu Parents Association regularly meets every second Saturday to discuss various topics. Parents also meet every other week with their child’s faculty for half a day session to promote parents active involvement in the care of the student. We use a “personal-center” model of care which emphasizes the strengths of the individual, and supports the person in pursuing his or her goals and dreams. The person center model also looks to the individual family, friends, staff and community-the person’s circle of support-to help meet her/his goals. Parents and other family members especially playing a key role on our team and we encourage you to be active participants in the child’s education and care.

Life Skills & Vocational Training

Under the able guidance of Mr.Ravi with a masters in Spe. Edu and psychology, skill based training and job placement has been one of Bannu’s premier programs. We initially use the VATS tool to access the students and develop an individual plan.

NIMH Outreach Center

Collaboration with National Institute for mentally handicapped(NIMH) Secunderabad. Under the ministry of social justice and empowerment, Government of India.

BNH has MoU with NIMH for providing technical support for the following consultancy services.

• Advisory committee membership participation.
• Evaluate the staff’s performance quarterly and annually.
• Evaluate each case treatment documents.
• Provide comprehensive consultancy services for setting up rural extension services.
• Provide expert opinion and suggestions regarding documentation procedures involved in running the institute.
• Provide technical support in setting up vocational and rehabilitation programs.
• To allow BNH as a site for clinical rotations for NIMH students.
• To provide comprehensive services & guidance with basic and advanced research projects to be undertaken by BNH.

Agri-Farming

Our vocational students get hands on training and experience on various agri-based concepts like kitchen and flower garden, corn field, vegetables all grown in our own 1 acre new campus.

Cultural Activities

Our special educators take an active participation in teaching the children and help them perform in almost every cultural activity organized in school and any occasion as well as help children participate in district or state level competitions . Children enjoy participating in every event and bag awards and prizes which ever competition they participate and perform.

Free Door to Door Transportation

Bannu has all new two big buses of 40 seats capacity and 2 vans to provide free transportation along with a dedicated escort to make sure the child is handed over to the parent hand to hand. Transportation facility is available from in and around tri-cities . The buses start by 7.30am picking up children from their homes safely to school and back home by 6.00 pm the buses return to school. Every Bus along with the support staff is accompanied by the teachers or Assistant teachers. Bannu Ensures complete safety of the child.

Live surveillance With 12 Security Cameras

Live video on school on your mobile phone! First school in district to have 24 hours video and audio surveillance thru 12 high definition CC security cameras installed. A high power inverter for 24 hours power supply. Live video/audio coverage/access of the institute and its class rooms available at request thru online internet-Wi-Fi connection.

Speech & Behavioral Therapy

Bannu has full time Speech and audiology faculty with a 4 years degree in Audiology, Speech and Language pathology with an additional diploma in special education too. We have visiting psychologist from NIMH secunderabad as well as two psychologist on staff.

Computer Lab

Bannu uses E-Learning tools and Electronic medical record “E-Sadhya” to be more techno-infused computer aided teaching. Well equipped with required software to support children learn digital knowledge. Apart from children teachers also have access to the computer lab to learn new methods and make themselves digital knowledge.

Regular Field Trips

Bannu believes in presenting the students with real life experiences. Twice a month children are taken to filed trips to help them understand practically. We take our students to local supermarkets, post offices, banks, railway stations, zoo parks, botanical gardens and much more. Bannu takes initiative in taking the children to regular outings where children enjoy the nature and joy with their beloved teachers.
