Treating developmental delays in young children.

The Bannu Early Intervention Program provides early learning and therapeutic services to infants and toddlers, from birth to age 3, who show delays in reaching developmental milestones or who have a medical diagnosis that puts them at risk for delays.

Early Intervention services are based on each child’s individual needs. Our professional staff members typically work with the child and family in their home, but we can also provide services in the child’s daycare center, nursery school, or other settings in the community.

To accommodate families’ scheduling needs, Early Intervention services are available in the early morning, late afternoon, evening and on weekends.

Services include

• Goal and objective development

• Individual and group counseling
• Supports for transitioning to school

Daily care

Grouping of the students is done based on the ability and chronological age into different levels such as early intervention, the preprimary and primary, presecondary and secondary, pre-vocational and vocational/post secondary training. Students in this model attended school regularly on a daily basis.

Pre-Primary and Primary education serving children ages 3-12.

In the early childhood years providing critical window for youth on the special education spectrum. The can often learn best and make the air biggest gains at this time, creating a strong foundation for the future development.

Under this education model Bannu neurohealth provides

Discrete trial instructions for 3 hours daily combined with social advantages of his school environment.(Discrete trial is the technique of applied behavioral analysis or ABA , a scientifically proven treatment).

* Family Center support model including daily written communication, weekly meetings and optional home visits.

* A high teacher to student ratio.

* Highly effective instructional strategies are incorporated into each child’s individualized curriculum.

On-site speech, occupational, physical and behavioral therapy including a communication device specialist. *Training in the picture exchange communication system (PECS) by speech pathologist. PECS is a highly regarded method that enables nonverbal children to communicate and encourage language development. Secondary and prevocational education This step ensures a smooth transition to the child’s next school. We did do an individualized transition plan to support the child, family and staff.

* Community-based instruction, including weekly outings to local stores, back and other sites. This helps students practice echogenic, social, behavioral, communication skills and generalized them to be real life settings.

* All students participate in an adaptive physical education twice a week. These lessons are designed to meet the fitness needs of students and develop awareness of age-appropriate recreation, leisure, activities sports and games. *Student’s participate in a classroom behavior management plan, which focuses on developing appropriate and adaptive behaviors and social skills. Students who need more intensive behavioral interventions may have an individual behavior plan as part of an individualized education plan IEP.

* Each classroom is staffed by a RCI (Rehabilitation counsel of India) certified teaching faculty along with an assistant and aayas appropriately. c. Vocational and rehabilitation education/training. Students over 18 years will be provided vocational training to aim for an independent living. These students will be going through vocational assessment to VAP, job identification, Doppler analysis, job placement as well as follow-ups A wide range of learning opportunities are available for students based on these needs, abilities and preferences. School-based employment opportunities include housekeeping, food service and ground maintenance. Social workers, teachers, employment staff members will work collaboratively with parents, employers to facilitate a smooth transition. Provide training and support for student’s families.
